There are a couple of universities nearby home with wi-fi access, but can only use the service if I am closer. Is there an antenna one can hook up to my PC ??
there are wireless cards out there that have much greater range, but you'll pay a couple hundred for them...
I'd just buy a linksys wap and a bigger antenna for it. Should only cost you $100 or so... Then you can put it in bridge mode and attach your entire network to their access point [img]smile.gif[/img]
just jam a coat hanger into the side of you PC...that should work

I'd love to just be able to take the internet on my lap top anywhere I go. dont just want to be at home to use it. I want it every where! hope it becomes more available and less expensive soon
